Rent interpretation equipment and interpreter booths in Stockholm

In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreters sit in soundproof booths and translate while the speaker is talking. Participants choose a language on a receiver and listen through headphones. For that to work, the interpreters must hear the speaker perfectly, and the participants must hear the interpreter without noise. That is what the equipment is for.

    What's included

    – interpreter booths for two or three interpreters
    – interpreter consoles where the interpreters choose a channel and hear the room
    – IR transmitters and radiators covering the room
    – receivers with headphones for the participants
    – a feed from the room's sound system, so the interpreter hears everything said into a microphone
    – a technician who sets up, tests with the interpreters and runs the meeting

    What it can look like

International meeting with two languages, 60 participants: one booth, two interpreters, an IR system and 60 receivers.
Conference with four languages, 300 participants: four booths, IR radiators covering the whole hall and a technician dedicated to the interpretation.
AGM or negotiation with a speaker list: Bosch Dicentis, where every participant has their own microphone, the chair gives the floor and voting can be done in the room.

    Bosch Dicentis

Dicentis is a conference system with a microphone and loudspeaker at every seat. Anyone who wants to speak requests the floor, the chair sees the speaker list, and the language channels from the interpreters go straight to every seat. It is often used at government meetings and international conferences, where many people need to speak in an orderly way, and thanks to its high quality also at smaller meetings.

    IR or radio?

We use IR for interpretation. The signal stays in the room, which suits closed meetings where what is said must not be heard outside.

    How many booths?

Normally one booth per language, with two interpreters per booth taking turns. A meeting in Swedish with interpretation into English and Finnish therefore needs two booths and four interpreters.

    Interpreters

We arrange interpreters through a partner agency when you need them, so the equipment and the interpreters are planned together.

    Plan ahead

Interpreter booths take up space and must be placed so the interpreters can see the speaker and the screen. Tell us early about the venue, the number of languages and the number of participants, and we will plan the placement together with the venue.

    Frequently asked questions

How many interpreter booths are needed?
Normally one per language, with two interpreters per booth taking turns.
    Can you arrange interpreters?
    Yes, through a partner agency.
    Why IR and not radio?
The IR signal stays in the room. That suits closed meetings where what is said must not be heard outside the room, and it isn't disturbed by other equipment.
    How many receivers are needed?
One per participant who needs interpretation, plus a few spares. We work out the number with you.
Can Dicentis be used without interpretation?
Yes. It also works as a conference system with a microphone per participant, a speaker list and voting.
