Lighting

Lighting is most noticeable when it is missing. A speaker in half-darkness looks tired in the room and even worse in a livestream. The right lighting means the audience can see faces, the slides don't wash out and the venue feels like your event.

Conference: clean and even

At a conference, it is about the speaker being seen. We set front light on the stage and the podium so faces are evenly lit both from the audience and from the camera. The light is aimed so it doesn't dazzle the speaker or fall on the LED wall or the screen.

Camera and livestreaming

A camera needs more, and more even, light than the eye. Many venues are lit to look pleasant, not to be filmed. If the conference is streamed or recorded, we plan the lighting around the cameras.

Kickoff and gala: more atmosphere

For evening events we build more of a look: coloured light on walls and stage, moving lights, lighting that follows the programme, and haze. The colours can match your brand.

What it can look like

Seminar in a hotel function room: a few front lights on the podium and a touch of colour on the wall behind. Discreet and simple.
Conference being streamed: front and back light on the stage, even light on the panel and lighting adapted to the cameras.
Gala: stage lighting, moving lights, colour across the whole room and a lighting technician who runs the lights to the programme.

Battery-powered LED lights

We have a fairly wide range of battery-powered LED lights from brands including Astera and Lightmen. They need no power cable, so they can go wherever suits: along the walls, on tables, on stairs or outdoors. A whole room can be coloured without running a single cable across the floor, and the colours can change during the evening.

The battery lights can also be dry hired, meaning rented without a technician. You get them charged and ready to set out, and return them after the event.
